The imminent end of the winter was celebrated with dancing, merry songs and a traditional burning of Kostroma.
In the end of the week, the representatives of the fund visited the orphanage in Bobrovsk. There was a celebration of Maslenitsa with traditional activities, pancakes and hot tea.
A. Zhukov is a man of his word. If he promises, he makes good on it. Last week A. Zhukov visited the orphanage. He and the representatives of the fund presented them clothes, shoes and sweets. Children thanked them for being kind and invited to become a part of the coming celebration.
A week later they came again. It was a day of Maslenitsa so they brought pancakes with different flavors: sugar, sour cream, jam.
Also, the staff delivered some detergent, it always comes in handy.
Children were ready to start the celebration. They had prepared many quizzes and competitions, folk songs and dancing. Five minutes later everybody was dancing, singing and happily smiling. In the end of the event they took pictures against the background of Kostroma and a big snow mountain.
Time flies. After games and competitions they started to drink hot tea with traditional pancakes. They discussed the latest news. One boy told us that A. Zhukov had already promised to come to the prom. Also he said he was going to enter the technical school on 12, Serova Street and invited to come again.
Every inmate of the orphanage after leaving the school has an opportunity to get a flat or some other benefits. But it is always a time consuming deal.
A. Zhukov told us about a disabled girl who got a flat but the conditions of living was awful. So, the fund did their best to help her, they bought new furniture and a TV.
While children were playing and eating pancakes, adults were talking about some serious issues. They discussed the problem of adoption. The teachers said that tendency was growing every year, but some people were only selfish and greedy, they wanted to get money out of adoption and then shipped kids off back. \
This problem will take time to be solved. It is necessary to promote programs of social adaptation, socialization, moral and financial support. All these are rested on the shoulders of volunteers and charitable foundations.
A. Zhukov supports people and organization who want to help selflessly.
