Classes started on the 1st of June, students and graduates of the State Art Institute will teach children painting.
On Children’s Day, June 1, there was the grand opening of an art school for children and adults in Kominternovsky district. The project, which appeared last year and conducted with the active support of the charity fund “Kindness”, was extremely successful and popular with both young and old pupils. The statistics shows that there took part more than 80 participants in summer of 2016.
The second season of the project will get younger as the age of participants will be 3 years old. It won’t be boring. The art has no boundaries, the art is for everyone.
– I am very glad that today we are opening the next season of the “free summer drawing school”, – said the head Kominternovsky district Alexei Medvedev. – We are keeping old traditions (there were many drawing schools in Voronezh many years ago), and every step in this direction makes Voronezh intellectual and cultural capital Central Black Earth Economic Region. I would like to wish you creative success and remind you that the best works will be in our Museum. Also I want to thank Olga Anatolyevna the rector of State Art Institute and Alexander Alekseevich and his Fund “Dobrota” for their help in organization of the project.
“Dobrota” foundation and its founder, Voronezh City Duma Deputy Alexander Zhukov have been supporting the project for children and adults for two years.
– I hope that the summer will be as bright and sunny as it is today, – says Alexander Zhukov. – And this weather will contribute to the development of your creative abilities. I hope that coming here you will not only learn about the technique of drawing, but also understand that art and its great power itself can help you express your feelings, thoughts and emotions. Appreciate every lesson, have fun with the process!
Four groups will start learning to draw from June 1. Three of them are children of different ages, and one is adult. Schedule of classes can be found near the main entrance of the building. At the end of the course, the best works of the project participants will get to the Museum of the City Duma, and some of them will be awarded with prizes.
Moreover, there is an exhibition of works of graduates and teachers of the Institute. They can be seen in the exhibition hall, which is located right in the building.
