The third stage of the unique project “Single mothers’ social adaptation” is underway.
The project “Single mothers’ social adaptation” started at the end of 2017 in Voronezh. The initiator is the Charity Foundation “Dobrota” and its founder, Alexander Zhukov. Thanks to the efforts of the Foundation for the social adaptation of single mothers, one grant was given by the President of the Russian Federation aimed at developing civil society and provided by the Foundation for Presidential Grants.
In autumn the third stage of the project began: some new mummies are mastering sewing. The Charity Foundation “Dobrota” has purchased all the necessary equipment and fabrics, and the training takes place several times a week in the Voronezh House of the mother.
They sew not only for themselves, but also give some ready made things to the regional boarding house for the elderly and disabled. The lessons of sewing are taught by Elena Ermolaeva, a sewing technologist. She is guiding moms to produce seven items such as pajamas, bed linen and others during their study.
Psychological counselling is always in high demand. They are led by Victoria Podbolotova, a psychologist with a 17-year-old experience.
Twice a week she conducts individual psychological counseling and helps to understand the issues of parenting and personal relationships. In addition, they regularly undergo training to improve their self-esteem, self-disclosure and self-relaxation.
