The founder of the fund “Kindness” Alexander Zhukov on the eve of the great Orthodox holiday, the Day of the memory of St. Tikhon of Zadonsk, Bishop of Voronezh, paid the head temple of the city of Zadonsk a charitable visit. On behalf of the charitable foundation, its founder donated clothes and products to the church priests and pilgrims.
The Foundation “Kindness” has been cooperating with Church Of The Nativity Of The Virgin, one of the oldest in the Voronezh and Lipetsk regions, for about 20 years. The volunteers of the charitable organization donate clothes, products and money to the monastery, which includes some other churches, the main one of which is Church of the Vladimir Icon of the Our Lady.
– We do not plan our visits; we come not only when people need help, but also we come when no one expects. Today, for example, we donated some clothes that were needed. The Foundation “Kindness” also helped financially as there is a large-scale repair of the main entrance of the head Cathedral, – said Alexander Zhukov, the founder of the charitable foundation “Kindness”.
The monastery is the home to about 400 people now, and on the eve of the holiday their number increases at times. Thousands of pilgrims during the procession will arrive from Lipetsk and Voronezh. Therefore, the help of the “Kindness” Foundation is very useful.
– The help of Alexander Alekseevich and his Fund is very important. Many people who come to the monastery have different difficult life situation, we all try to help them. The Foundation “Kindness” supports us all the time. And we are very grateful to them, – says Gabriel Melnikov, hieromonk Zadonsky of Church of The Nativity Of The Virgin.
Alexander Zhukov is sure that such visits will be as often as it is possible, because such help is an important and good deed.
At the end of the visit, the founder of the charitable foundation “Kindness” visited the head church of the monastery – Church of The Nativity Of The Virgin, where he lit the candle, touched the relics of St. Tikhon of Zadonsk and prayed.
