The unique program has broadened its horizons.
The results of the second stage of the project on the adaptation of single mothers have been summed up. The charitable Foundation “Kindness”, over the past four months, has helped many women and the project itself has become even more ambitious.
Let us recall that the first stage of the unique project was started in late December in Voronezh. The program was created on the initiative of the fund “Kindness”, headed by Alexander Zhukov. The project was also supported by the Metropolitan of Voronezh and Liskinsk, and then the initiative was noted at the federal level – the program received the grant of the President of Russia. The main idea of the project is the psychological adaptation of single mothers, as well as their material support and the opportunity to acquire the skills of a new profession.
The first stage of the social program within which some/the women were taught to sew by the experienced technologist and were consulted by the professional psychologist, was completed extremely successfully. More than two hundred women were helped, and the project was recognized as the best one at the international conference in Geneva.
By the way, the mothers presented the handmade things to the nursing home and to the infants from the Voronezh welfare shelter. Thus, a kind of “a chain of kindness» has been formed which was continued at the second stage.
It is interesting to know that this very stage of the project has become more popular than the previous one, there took part more single mother than it had been before.
– The results catch the fancy; the participants have really mastered their sewing skills. There are many things that can be sold even in shops. All these show that the project is really useful and exceeds expectations, – says A. Zhukov.
Participants of the social adaptation project presented the results of their classes in the special exhibition. Snow-white baptismal sets, bed linen, children’s pajamas, colorful home dressing gowns and dresses are the things that mothers are proud of.
– I really liked the project. No doubt, there is no woman who does not sew, I also had to do it, but when I took part in this project I have realized that I have a lot to learn. I would like to continue mastering my sewing skills, – Inna Bogomolova, a participant of the project of social adaptation of single mothers.
There were classes twice a week. Different problems were discussed: the upbringing of children, personal relationships, and the analysis of conflict situations. Moreover, there were conducted classes which were aimed at confidence, self-discovery and self-relaxation.
The most active participants were thanked by A. Zhukov. He presented single mothers thank – you letters and gifts.
Then the volunteers and the mothers went to the Child Care Center located in Somovo region to give the things sewn for orphans. By the way, this experience has played an important role for the majority of the women during the training.
– Judging by Elena Ermoloeva’s opinion, the technologist of the project of single mothers’ social adaptation , many mothers did want to help children creating the things with their pure love which could be presented to the orphanage.
By Alexeï Spitsin’s point of view, the abbot of the temple in honor of the Mother of God icon «The Recovery of deceased” and the head of the Diocesan department of childhood and maternity protection, they are glad that so many things have been accomplished. This is so important to help the Baby House and the mothers as well, who are morally satisfied by the work they do. Citing St. Chrysostom, Alexeï Spitsin agrees that we only have what we give.
It is worth mentioning that the fund has been helping children for many years. There are more than 70 lids in the orphanage. The participants of the project have made lots of different clothes for
them. Moreover, the fund has provided the orphanage with fluffy toys and diapers.
