Ambassador of International Organization of Peace has visited Voronezh

In our city he met with the Deputy of the Voronezh City Duma, the founder of the charity fund “Kindness” Alexander Zhukov.
In the beginning of the week the Ambassador of International Organization of Peace has visited Voronezh. At the meeting held on December 26 in the City Duma, representatives of charitable organizations discussed the difficult situation in the Arab world, as well as the prospects for cooperation on humanitarian aid for children in Iraq and Syria.
It is not a secret that Russia is one of those countries that first comes help in critical situations, no matter where they occur. So, the Syrian problem had been solved. Equipment, machinery, medical specialists were sent to the destroyed cities. Until now, the situation in the Arab world is far from acceptable: many cities are practically wiped out, and thousands of citizens, many of them are children, still live in the destroyed streets in refugee camps.

To be indifferent to this situation isn’t impossible, especially if we have the opportunity to help.

— First of all, today we are talking about humanitarian aid for children who need it, — said the Deputy of the Voronezh Duma, the founder of the charity Fund “Kindness” A. Zhukov. — This help has to be not only material, but also moral. Pupils of Russian schools are actively involved in our work: they write to their peers words of support, send pictures, and this contribution is no less important than things and equipment.

Ambassador of International Organization for peace Yasin al-Hashimi came to the capital of Central Black Earth Economic Region on the invitation of the founder of the charity fund “Kindness” Alexander Zhukov and with participation of his colleague Sinan Zaki. Zaki has been working in Russia for 12 years; he has made a great contribution to the development of the international humanitarian movement and continues to work in the direction of strengthening international relations, assistance to refugees and orphans.

During their visit to the City Duma, experts discussed the situation in the Arab world, talked about the prospects of cooperation on humanitarian assistance for children in Iraq and Syria.

Founded in 1999, the organisation has special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations(ECOSOC) and has an independent legal and financial status. The president of the organization is Khaled K. El-Hamedi. IOPCR was founded to act in different humanitarian fields, with aims to address issues relating to peace, stability and prosperity. Since its establishment the organization engaged individually or with cooperation with other organizations in different humanitarian issues aiming to accomplish its objectives in various fields.

The participants of the meeting note that humanitarian aid should, if I may say so, be out of politics and above it. Therefore, no political tension or disagreement should affect the work of charities.
The main goal of today’s meeting and subsequent team work is to organize the delivery of humanitarian aid to those regions whose residents need it most, while all processes should be as transparent as possible:
— Thanks to the arrival of representatives of the Arab world, thanks to our cooperation with representatives of International Organization for peace, we are able to actively support people, — says Zhukov. — We will be able not just to transfer humanitarian aid to Syria, but to send cargo to a concrete city, a concrete institution. We will develop work in this direction for Syria, Iraq and for all those who need it.
